I got a LIME in the CoCoNUT!!

So every week, I get an email on Monday (which is my week-anniversary date of being pregnant) from http://www.thebump.com/ . In the email, it tells you what to expect right now in your pregnancy, what you should be doing, and the size of your baby this week!!!! So, last week was prune.....this week, he/she is the size of a LIME!!!! It seems like such a big change in one week to me! Crazy how fast they grow in there and you don't even know it!

I am still fitting in my pre-pregnant jeans without any problem really, but buttoning them isn't very comfortable....so, I have started the elastic band thing. However, I don't really wear jeans that often, so, its not a huge deal. I did go to Target on Saturday to buy birthday presents and ended up buying a Be-band (to help hide the unbuttoned jeans), a maternity tank top that i should be able to wear the whole pregnancy under things, and a couple of other long tanks and a t-shirt. So, I was excited to buy my first "maternity" clothes. lol

I was able to see my girlfriends from college this weekend and tell them our big news. It was so great to see them all and tell them all at once. Now, I finally get to join the "mom-club" officially with all of them! They are all such great mom's and, even tho I have taken Madison with me when I see them, its been weird being the last one to become a mother. I just hope I can be as great of a mom as they all are. I love you girls!

Other news: WE CLOSED ON THE NEW HOUSE THIS PAST FRIDAY!!!

We got a key right away and headed over to look around (again)! With the rain this weekend, we were able to get over there yesterday and work. Eric has already done so much work to the yard, and he was also able to start ripping up floors yesterday. Its amazing what we found in the living room! Under that awful board they had covering the it, was an amazing fireplace. The tiles surrounding the brick inside is beautiful (well, to me...maybe not as much to Eric)...I looked up the information we found on the back of one of the tiles and it dates back to 1890! LOVE IT! The hardwood floors underneath the three layers of carpet, linoleum, and luan board is awesome as well. I think we are going to go ahead and carpet the living room and stairs tho for now, and leave the bedrooms hardwood. :)

My mom and I got down and dirty and started the cleaning. We got a lot accomplished...but, let me tell you...this house was DIRTY! and my body hurts all over today!

Sorry the pics are kinda blurry! My cell phone camera lens has a scratch on it and EVERY pic I take with it is blurry! grrrr!

The making of a prune........

Well, everything seems to be going well with the pregnancy so far! Well, for the baby that is! I, on the other hand, feel like crap!!! Not all of the time, mostly when I am at work and sometimes in the evenings. Its gotten a little better tho actually. So, I am hoping it will pass all together in time!

I had a Dr. appointment last Friday and everything checked out okay. She ordered some lab work that I had done this past Friday. Normal pregnancy labs, an HIV test, urine tests, and a glucose tolerance test. She wanted me to have the glucose test now because of some of my previous symptoms that could indicate I have polycystic ovaries. And polycystic ovaries causes glucose instability. Lets just hope that test is normal!! Because I really don't want to start messing with my blood sugars right now! We have another appointment in a few weeks and should get to hear the heartbeat then!

This picture is a little old now, but I thought I would post it anyway......Here she/he is at 6 weeks and 4 days.....sooooooooooooo small. I am 10 weeks tomorrow and "it" will be about the size of a prune (or 1 1/2 inches long) :)

We are moving right along with the house. Closing this coming Friday! Crazy how fast its all went.....we aren't sure right now if we will get the keys then, or if they guy will want some time to finish getting his stuff out. He had told Eric he would probably be out by closing, and considering all he really had was a couch, table, small bed and dresser to move....that shouldn't be a problem! But, according to the purchase agreement, he has 14 days to get OUT! :) So, we will see. I need to get busy on packing! And as soon as we have the keys, there is a lot to be done before we can move in! :)

I am going to be doing my best to keep this blog updated! I know there are people we don't get to talk to much, and like to keep up on what we are doing. Feel free to comment on the blogs! (So I know who all is reading them!)
P.S. Eric started planting yesterday! Let the fun begin!

BIG NEWS in the Scott household........

Well, I have a lot to update on! First, I will talk about us buying a new/old house! Of course we have been thinking about what to do with our house for the past year or so....we had plans drawn up to add on and got quotes and it was soooooooo expensive....and it STILL wouldn't be very close to what we want in a property. Eric dreams of pasture, big barns, animals, etc....So, we have kept our minds open to moving/building, just something! I needed a bigger house!
Looking online at http://www.mibor.com/ has become a favorite pastime of mine! I looked every day for houses and dreamed of what it would be like to actually buy one and move! Well, I came across one that striked some interest....10 acres, big white farmhouse (that needed updated), big barns, nice property....so, we went and looked at it....and we REALLY liked it....one problem, its in decatur county (near Greensburg, IN) Now, this made the decision ALOT harder for us. It would make our drives to work farther (esp. for Eric since he drives 1/8th of a mile to work now!) and I would be farther away from my family (but not that far).....so after much thought, debate, talk and more thinking....we decdied we wanted to put an offer in on it!
Here it is:

Pretty cute, huh? It needs a lot of work inside, and we have a lot of ideas. More pics to come....

Then, the week we decided to put the offer in on the house, this happened.....

I know, right?

I had been feeling "funny"....spotting, cramping, soreness, etc....and decided, what the heck? I'll just take a pregnancy test to make sure that's not it....Well, it was positive! BIG SHOCKER for us! I have had two ultrasounds and multiple blood draws already to check on everything since I was having spotting in the beginning....and all checked out ok. I even got to see the little heartbeat on 3/26. So, today, I am exactly 8 weeks pregnant based on my ultrasound.
So, in one week, we bought a house and found out we were pregnant! Looks like the house was a good idea! We need a room for a nursery! Talk about stress! So, now this blog can take on a whole new purpose......Moving onto our next adventures in life. We have ALOT to do before November at this new house! :)

A new baby for us..........

.....Puppy, that is.

Meet Lexi.

Eric got a call from the Greensburg Animal Shelter a few weeks ago asking him if he was still looking for a blue heeler. They had gotten in a 8-9 week old full blooded heeler pup that an older man had dropped off. He didn't realize how much work a puppy would be. Eric had been considering getting a playmate for Tuff outside, because he was "lonely" and "bored" :) So, of course, he went down to see her on his lunch break....without me knowing a thing. Upon his arrival home from work that evening, he was flashing pictures of this cute little girl to me....and I was like "she's cute...who is she?" thats when I found out...she was OURS. Already paid for. mmmmm hmmmmmm....its true.

So, i went to meet her at the shelter that weekend, and of course, being a crazy puppy lover myself, fell in love too. We couldn't bring her home until after her surgery to get her fixed. It was their policy...So, we visited often during the next couple of weeks. And, we got to bring her home March 13. :) Here she is after her first bath:

She is growing like a weed, and VERY rambunctious......and very unafraid of Joey and Annie, who absolutely hate her by the way....Annie gets mad if she even comes near her, and Joey, she just worries about the little rug rat getting near her beloved ball(s).....But, Tuff, he is in LOVE. They play and roll and romp together in the yard....When she is a big girl she will get to live outside with her boy toy....but, for now, she is inside tormenting the girls........ looks innocent, doesn't she?

Here is our puppy family, pre-Lexi.....if only they knew what was coming................... :)

Turned out pretty darn cute!

All ready to go!!! She did a great job!
She kept telling people all day how she was Heather's "twin"
and that she was NOT a flowergirl...she was a junior bridesmaid!

PARTY TIME:

Uncle Nick "might" have been tickling her in this one

Daddy with his little girl :)

My sissy makes a beautiful bride!

Proof that the Scott boys do wear ties!! And they clean up pretty well!

My handsome husband (i still can't believe he wore a tie!) and I having an awesome New Years!

Watch out! Bride coming through!

Happy New Year and Congratualtions to my Sister and Joel!

ChRiStMaS TiMe is HERE! HappinESS and ChEER!

Our Christmas this year was pretty good, if you don't count a very unfortunate situation we had to deal with Christmas morning involving Madison! It wasn't Madison's fault.....and I would think by now, these things wouldn't surprise me....but they always do! If you want to know....just ask...but, thats all I will post on here about it.....because after we dealt with that, we had a great day. Lots of family time and presents.....its my favorite time of year! My pretty tree this year! I bought a new, shorter, skinnier tree...and I loved it! It didn't take up half the living room! And I also bought all new decor for it, so I wouldn't have to go through the ordeal of digging it all out of the attic! And trust me....it is an ordeal! It was great not to have to do that this year!

Here is Madison at her school Christmas party...I came in to volunteer with crafts and brought cookies. It was fun getting to see her in the classroom! Now, if only she would start being good at school!!!

Here we are with my Grandma Z. She is 94 and still doing great! We went to church together on Christmas Eve and then had dinner at her house.

CHRISTMAS DAY!!!
Madison opening up presents...it was kind of rushed this year due to the time we had to take to deal with the "situation".....but, she got lots of nice things!
Santa brought her miniature frogs!!!....or turtles as she kept calling them....hence their names....Turtle 1 & Turtle 2 :)

Merry Christmas Joey! :)

At Dad and Tami's for Christmas opening gifts! And yes, you can't see it too well, but that's my husband with the hat on I bought him for Christmas..... Aren't I the greatest??
He is ONLY to wear this when he goes Snowboarding.....

Opening her favorite gift, the easel.
(Another peek at the hat Eric loves so much!)

And at the end of the day, Annie and Madison are spent.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!! We did!

Ho ho hO

Our good friends, The Englands, had a Christmas Party at their house this past Friday. I got our attire at Old Navy a few hours before the party! LOL
Don't we look like little kids on Christmas morning??
Jordan (Naughty Mrs. Clause)
and Brian (Uncle Eddie from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation)

And I had to add Jen and Scott because they were freakin' hilarious! Scott made this costume himself...and his "snow" kept falling out on the floor all night. Love it!

Great Party Jordy and Brian!
